July 28 - Museum Store Training - This will involve training on the registers and provide lunch coverage. 

August 25 - Office Administrative Assistance - This is for anyone interested in helping out at the administrative office with tasks such as festival fulfilment, mailing (envelop stuffing and addressing), supplies inventory, and generally supporting the office staff with daily administrative tasks and needs. The training will include a tour of the office focused on where people and things are located and how to use some of the relevant appliances. This will be held at the office.

This training session is a masterclass of the museum's content that will prepare you to confidently lead tours as a docent.


To become a docent, you must attend this class, complete the follow-up homework and review sessions, and pass a final certification test that includes a mock tour. Volunteers who are not interested in becoming a docent but want to attend this class just to learn more about the museum's content are also welcome. There are only 15 spots available, and priority will be given to those with an interest in leading tours.

The 1927 Concert Series is an intimate concert experience set in the “acoustically perfect” performance theater at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum. It’s more than a night of music, it’s a very personal event with some of the most renowned roots music artists performing today. Guests are asked to arrive promptly at 6 p.m. to enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and an open bar before the show (ages 21+ with valid ID),  food and drinks included with ticket. Music begins at 7 p.m.
